On visualise parfois mal l’importance de la pollution marine provoquée par l’homme. Voici une vidéo touchante d’une raie manta géante libérée d’un filet de pêche par des plongeurs. Un rapport humain / animal qui fait réfléchir.
L’occasion aussi de rappeler que près de 6,4 millions de tonnes de déchets sont rejetés chaque année. À eux seuls, les plastiques constituent 41% des déchets trouvés au fond des mers, tandis que les déchets liés aux activités de pêche (lignes et les filets de pêche abandonnés) en représentent 34 %.

We (Thomaz Monteiro and Flavia Passaglia from Brazil) were diving at Bat Islands, Costa Rica, when this peaceful manta came. Brian Thompson (from Canada) gently cut the net fishing and now the manta can live with no pain. Important: We picked up the line. It’s our trophy now!
